Project Highlights:

   South Fork Mountain Project

  • This project’s main goal is to manage 600 acres of diffuse kanpweed on South Fork Mountain. Methods of control, are chemical, hand pulling, and cultural. Public and private lands are being protected. Project partners: CDFA, Six Rivers NF, Shasta-Trinity NF, private landowners.

   Weaverville spotted knapweed removal

  • In Weaverville, 5 acres of spotted knap weed are being controlled through hand pulling and chemical treatmnt. Private lands are being protected through these management practices. Project partners: private land owners.

   Spiney plumeless thistle Project

  • In Zena, 15 acres of spiney plumeless thistle being chemically treated. Public and private lands are being protected through this project. Project partners: private land owners.
