Symposium Registration

Registration is open!

Join us for another dynamic gathering of California land managers to network, learn, and celebrate our hard work! Once again, we’re going online, streaming sessions live and interacting through our conference platform. This year’s special theme sessions explore the connections between our weed management work at the local level and the global challenge of invasive species.

SYMPOSIUM REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

Tues, Oct. 20: Statewide WMA Meeting, Career Panel, Workshops, and DPR Laws & Regs session 

Wed, Oct. 21:  Topical sessions, Lightning talks, Posters

Thurs, Oct. 22: Topical sessions, Discussion groups, Awards, Student Contest and Photo Contest winners

Notes:

  • Extra fees: DPR CEUs ($100) and Workshops ($25) have cost beyond basic registration cost. 
  • Partner discount: Cal-IPC offers members of SERCAL and the California Native Grass Association a $25 discount – use the discount code 2026FRIEND. 
  • Statewide WMA Meeting only: The registration form allows you the option of registering for the free Statewide WMA Meeting without registering for the whole Symposium.

Workshops:  Workshops are 1.5 hours, held concurrently 1:00-2:30 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Cost is $25.

Registration Rates 

Note that:

  • Save on registration – Early Bird rates run through Aug. 1 / Regular rates run through Oct. 1 / Late rates run through close of registration Oct. 19, 12 noon.
  • Presenter rates – For presenters whose abstract submission is accepted. Abstract submission opens April 1 and applicants will be notified in mid-July.
  • Scholarships – See our John H. Anderson Scholarships page.
  • Sponsorships – Your organization can support the Symposium by being a Symposium Sponsor, which comes with free registrations. 
  • Refunds – Only in exceptional situations. Contact us at symposium@cal-ipc.org.
  • Member:  $95 early bird / $145 after Aug. 1 / $195 after Oct. 1 
  • Non-Member: $145 early bird / $195 after Aug. 1 / $245 after Oct. 1
  • Presenter:  $50 early bird / $75 after Aug. 1 / $100 after Oct. 1 
  • Student & Limited Income, Member:  $25 / $50 after Aug. 1 / $75  after Oct. 1
  • Student & Limited Income, Non-Member: $50 / $75 after Aug. 1 / $100 after Oct. 1
  • Student & Limited Income, Presenter:  free, requires discount code

DPR Credits

Some of our Symposium sessions provide DPR CEUs for licensed herbicide applicators. In total, the Symposium typically provides 2 units fulfilling “Herbicide Laws & Regulations” as well as 12 hours of “Other” units (including the Statewide WMA Meeting and Workshops). To get credit, be sure to sign up for DPR CEUs with your registration and to follow DPR instructions. Our additional fee covers DPR costs and our staff time for processing.
