Risk Mapping for Early Detection

Example map

Cal-IPC, in partnership with UC Davis, the California Dept. of Food & Agriculture, and the state's network of Weed Management Areas (WMAs), is conducting statewide surveys of wildland weed distribution and trend to support early detection programs. This data is mapped in conjunction with climatic modeling to predict where each plant could spread in the state. Maps for each plant surveyed to date are available from the pick lists below. Maps are based on input from local weed workers, and updates are welcome (contact info@cal-ipc.org).
